Barbara has spoken to my Master Gardenening Group on 3 occasions over the past 6 years. She is ALWAYS engaging as she shares first hand experiences from her own garden with humor thrown in along the way. Most recently, she spoke on "New Frontiers in Organic Gardening: Tips on growing vegetables, herbs and fruits". She had the group spellbound for an hour and quite frankly, I think we all would have listened attentively for 2 hours! As her books indicate, she truly is an expert in the gardening arena and I recommend her highly to other organizations looking for speakers.
Great Master Gardener Symposium

I was lucky enough to hear both of Barbara's presentations at the annual Symposium. Her "Hungry for More: Satisfying Your Gardening Appetite" talk had me itching to get my fingers in the soil to start a thriving vegetable garden that would also feed my soul. Her second presentation on "What Herbs Can Do For You" was just as interesting. She focused on how herbs can improve your cooking, your health, and make your garden a beautiful and pleasurable place to be. An herb garden is definitely in my spring planning also! Barbara is a very engaging, relatable, and FUN speaker. Any group would be sure to enjoy her and learn from her because she truly is PLEASANT in every way!
