Ana is a Botanical pharmacology specialist, Master of Science in Pharmacy, Speaker, certified Landscaper and Herbal garden designer.

Born and raised in Europe, inspired by her Grandmother who is a doctor and ethnobotanist, she decided to continue explore Medicinal plants.

Ana has more than a decade of experience in pharmaceuticals and now, in her spare time, devotes her expertise to encourage people all across Canada and America to grow beautiful Medicinal plants. She talks how to use European and other well-researched Medicinal plants from all around the world - safely.

She’s actively engaged in native plants restoration projects to help North America’s native plants to survive and thrive, like working on Little Cambell River Native plants trail project, White Rock Native plants garden, serves on Friends of Semiahmoo Bay Society environmental organization Board; collaborates with North Vancouver’s Park and Tilford Garden; Dart’s Hill Garden club Native Plants Group.

Her programs include varieties of areas that combine science and history; as well as practical tips how grow and harvest plants; and curious facts! Also classes include scientific logic of herbs usage turned into hands-on how-to; Medicinal plants selections recommended for various health conditions/problems and systems of our body (like Nervous system, Digestive, Muscle and Joints, Cold’s time health, Skin and Beauty) etc.

To simplify understanding how use herbs daily she offers a special Culinary Medical plants class with detailed information about each of herbs, as well as scientific/historical fact and simple, healthy and tasty recipes.

From her perspective, herbs are the unusual beauties, with its power to cure, stories and fairy tales to explore. Medicinal plants offer us diversity of shapes and colours, as well as refine aroma.

From the first glance, the world of Medicinal plants maybe not so bright, as ornamental one. But when you know each plant at your garden it makes you a good magician with power to bring health and happiness to your dearest people.

With a special interest in capturing the beauty Ana shares her photo insights via several social media sources including personal Instagram @ana_herbal_apothecary and @friendsofsemiahmoobaysociety

Her colorful, bright educative presentations encourage to grow and to use herbs as well to enjoy their unique beauty. As said one of the attendees: ”Thank you, Ana! Now I love my Garden even more!”

Always there is a possibility to customize program due to special interest of the group, as well as make it more practical, with hands-on Master class option, like Herbal remedy preparation, Culinary herbs selection to taste or different Herbal tea tasting to understand the difference and choose what Herbal infusion might be better for each person.

Ana's ability to share her knowledge and love for plants gave me new eyes for my garden. She showed me how to harvest with care and create new ways to store and use many of the herbs and plants in my garden. I am looking forward to the next session as I prepare to plant and enjoy a four season medicine garden. Thank you
