Farmer’s daughter and army brat, Donna Balzer brings common sense and fun to her writing and presentations.
Donna is an award winning media personality, a blogger and author of three books. Her Bugs & Blooms television show, originally aired on HGTV, still brings comments from fans and her ongoing public radio Garden phone-in show is popular in Canada. Years of magazine and newspaper writing have given her a reason to research and she shares all. Her latest book No Guff Vegetable Gardening with “freaking amazing art” according to one reviewer and “zestful” prose according to another will be released in early 2012 as No Nonsense Vegetable Gardening by St. Lynn’s press in the U.S.A.
Donna loves to tell tales of raising kids and growing plants in a harsh zone 3 northern plains climate but she is slowly moving to the milder west coast where plants are more likely to rot from rain rather than blow away in a fierce winter wind.
