I've had the opportunity to hear several of Debra's presentations on succulents in the last few years, most recently this last week at the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show. As a landscape designer, garden writer and photographer, I can say that her eye for design is wonderful and her photographs to illustrate, beautiful. She will often engage with the audience after an explanation of how to do something, bringing the point back to reality by encouraging them to try it in their own gardens. Her practical demonstrations are given in the same tone. She is light, friendly, approachable, entertaining and very informative on the art and science of succulents.

I heard Debra speak at Dig Gardens in Santa Cruz on container gardening with succulents. She was knowledgeable and entertaining, potting plants, fielding questions, and giving people useful tips. Her books and CDs are beautifully photographed. She is a wonderful artist, photographer and teacher. Thank you Debra!

I've had the pleasure of hearing Debra Baldwin speak several times, most recently at Gamble Gardens in Menlo Park, CA. When it comes to succulents, she wrote the book - literally! Her inspiring talks are both engaging and informative and the photos of both individual plants and incredible gardens are not to be missed.

Debra has given several excellent presentations for over 300 people at the San Diego Horticultural Society. She's well-versed in her topic, a fun and lively speaker, and has absolutely gorgeous plant photos.
