Jeff is very thorough in his presentation of life in the soil. But he takes a complex subject and breaks it down in such a way that the lay person that is not in the 'Green Industry' can understand. He's funny too!

Jeff can take SCIENCE and make it readily understandable to gardeners who are familiar with some limited science. He is smart, entertaining, and will make a generation of good gardeners better. Understanding the soil leads to real success.

It is a rare talent who make dirt incredibly interesting and edge-of-your seat interesting. Jeff did just that at the 2011 Cullowhee Native Plant Conference. If you are serious about growing organically, you need to hear what he has to say. And buy the book. You'll be glad you did.

Jeff was one of the main speakers at this conference and his energetic, entertaining and informative talk was a big hit. His enthusiastic and persuasive arguments for gardening with soil microbes are easy to digest and laced with humor. I highly recommend him as a speaker for just about any group and any age level.
